Bricks I stumbled on an old-timer car show recently while taking a break at Melton Mowbray on a drive across Rutland. Lots of oldies on display but I just loved the 1925 Morris Cowley with the crash gearbox. I asked the owner aboutthe dickie seat at the back. …that was for the servant!
The owner also explained that the brake and accelerator pedals were in reverse order. I just hope he remembers that!
Also on display were a blue 1933 Austin 16/6, a splendidly red Triumph sports car, a Sapphire and – just to go to the other extreme – a Trabbi.
